April 2005

Once again, I took in NESBA's Summit Main opener. It was my first REAL track day since I fell in August. (One of my two crashes last year.) I was, at best, four seconds off my best time from June of last year. Eventually, I'll get my nuts back. The best thing was being slower didn't bum me out. I wanted to get my "sea legs" back, and pretty much did. I didn't have any scary moments.

From looking at the stills and videos I could see that I wasn't totally relaxed on the bike; something I intend to work on. I'll try to ease into my old form this season. We'll see.

I went from a 15 to a 14-tooth sprocket up front and that made a HUGE difference. Not only does the bike pick up revs faster, but I don't need to shift in T8.

I ordered rearsets, and the were sitting on my desk when I got to work Tuesday.

I'll have 'em mounted up soon. My foot kept slipping  off the right peg. Not good.

My mom came out, which was cool, and everybody was so nice to her. Thanks. That means a lot to me.

It was nice seeing everybody. Here are the pictures. The last link is a 62 Mb Avi (Divyx) of André. Next time I hope to be quick enough
