This ride took place Sunday, August 21, 2003. The meeting place was the 7-11 in Ashton. I wound up leading the first half of the ride. This was the weekend after Hurricane Isabel, so we took is easy. The regulars; Alex (Mille CER), George (996S), Jan (EX 500), Steve (954), and Mary (R6) were joined by one regular we hadn't seen in a while, Chas (R6). It was nice riding with him again. We ate at Beck's restaurant in Sykesville, and then continued, more or less, to Damascus, where we headed for home. There were a couple of trees down, and McKendree Road got the tar-and-chip resurfacing, which looks worse than it feels. Maybe next year it'll be great again.
