We had an unusually warm January 3rd in 2004, so a bunch of us decided to take advantage of it. We met at the 7-11 in Ashton; Myself, Mary, Steve, Rick, Jan, and Jason. The roads were kinda sloppy, but we went anyway, taking my loop. A couple of spots were dry, so we took advantage of them. 

We made our usual lunch stop in Sykesville, and the food was great. Rick, being incredibly generous, picked up the tab for all of us.

After lunch, Rick went in to work, and Mary left us after the Mariottsville loop. Steve, Jan, Jason and I continued on to Liganore Road, where Jan headed for home. Steve led from that point, taking us down Ijamsville Road, which I will modify my loop to include - that road rocks.

We wound up at Steve's beautiful new house around 5:00 PM; it was getting dark. Jason and I hung around for about half an hour, then headed home. It was a great way to start the season.
