MD4

We went riding Sunday, March 28, 2004. Our usual meeting place was the meeting place this time. 10:00 AM the time. As usual, I was late. I was actually futzing around with stuff, a GPS receiver in this case. While we were waiting for everyone (I wasn't even last this time!) a few muscle cars cruised by, including this awesome 67 Camaro. It sounded powerful, and the owner had spent a few bucks on upgrades, including 4-wheel discs. David called Mary and found out she wasn't coming, so we left around 10:45. We being me(ZX-6RR),  David (Buell Lightning), Jason (on David's F4i), Steve (CBR 954), and Jan ( 2000 ZX-6R).

This was my second ride with a few tweaks to my loop. Things went pretty well, with little traffic encountered. We got stuck behind some traffic on Klees Mill Road. We stopped to ear at the Roy Rogers in Finksburg. Steve needed gas, so we ran past Gas House Pike to New Market. U-Turned and ran the rest of my loop until the end of Thurston Road. Now that I've finally got my loop dialed in we're kinda getting tired of it. The last 10% of it is from Steve, so he will come up with some new roads to explore for the future. He is very good at that. I followed my loop home, Steve went home, and David, Alex, and Jan found some twisties on the way to 270.

I was late because my company just got a couple of handheld GPS receivers, and I got one to play with for a little while. I wanted to track my route, but I haven't figured out how to do that just yet. I got permission to hang on to it for a little while, so I may yet get a chance to log it.

I also got a new lens for my HelmetCam. I forgot the tool to install it, so the video I shot is with the older lens. I also lost the wrench to tighten the lens if the mount, hence the "fisheye" view. But, as my late Uncle Jack used to say, "It's better than nothing".
